Reporting to Principal Finance Officer the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring prudent management of financial resources and the reporting thereof within the existing legal and regulatory framework.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance reports for submission to management and the commission;
- Computing corporate taxes and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements;
- Collecting and reviewing various financial data for the preparation of financial statements and other reports for both internal and external use.
- Preparing EPRA for its corporate-wide annual audit and monitoring implementation of the auditor’s recommendations.
- Analyzing monthly general ledger account activity, journal entries, accruals, variances to forecast, and reconciliation of various accounts, fixed asset administration
- Reporting on EPRA’s assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets and updating the asset register
Qualifications
- At least four (4) years working experience;
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Accounts Commerce (Finance Option), Business Administration, Business Management, Economics or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
- A Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Accounts Commerce (Finance Option), Business Administration, Business Management, Economics or its equivalent from a recognized institution; is an added advantage;
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) Or its equivalent;
- Membership of professional body (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya ICPAK, ACCA) in good standing;
- Certificate in supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Demonstrated results in work performance;
- Proficiency in Computer Applications;
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
Other requirements
Applicants are required to provide a detailed CV indicating their current and previous employers, positions held, current and expected salary, names of at least three professional referees, education and professional certificates together with a copy of national identity card or passport.
The shortlisted candidates will additionally be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of
Kenya 2010 and provide:
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
- Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
- Tax compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
- Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
- Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
