Reporting to the Research team and Principal Investigator, the incumbent will be required to assist in collecting, entering and formatting clinical data as well as basic statistical analysis in a qualitative study of cancer related health literacy.
Research Officer Job Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment and selection of patients identified for research study;
- Ensure availability of consumable stocks and basic equipment required for the study;
- Establish and maintain open communication between the patients and research team;
- Ensure accurate data collection and entry of patient records;
- Manage all correspondence related to the research study;
- Provision of progress reports for the PI and CRDF;
- Coordinate preparation of training sessions and meetings;
- Manage logistical support required for travel and accommodation;
Requirements for the Research Officer Job
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences;
- Demonstrated competence in using Microsoft Excel, Power Point and SPSS;
- Excellent communication skills – written and spoken
