Responsibilities

  • To coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects.
  • To ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • To assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop a project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Successfully manage the relationship with clients and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Organizing the various professional people working on a project.
  • Ensuring that the aim of a project are met.
  • Allocate the engineers resources to start the technical engagement.
  • Follow up on project updates and KPI.
  • Updating customers on project status.
  • Contacting clients in case of any changes.

 Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent expertise.
  • Project Management certifications an advantage
  • Working knowledge of wireless technologies and /or Tower construction.
  • Certification in any industry standards desirable

Skills and Knowledge

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management in the telecommunication industry.
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices/standards, operations, contract management.

The Network Maintenance Engineer troubleshoots, locates and restores equipment from malfunctions. The ideal candidate will be responsible in monitoring all functions around the network, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and oversee preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Use electronic test equipment, such as optical power meters and multimeters, to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Use computer-aided diagnostics and digital logic devices as needed to locate malfunctions. Calibrate test equipment for proper operation.
  • Remote corrective actions supporting such as, monitor all functions around the network, responsible for alarm surveillance, event management and Tier 1 troubleshooting support, interface/work with repair/restoration of cell site equipment to include power and telecom
  • Perform scheduled maintenance that could include software updates and off hours testing and issue outage reports, trouble tickets, and dispatch market personnel as required.
  • Assemble, install, configure and test units of local area networks requiring use of standard interface protocols.
  • Assist field technicians in maintenance of cell site equipment, Trouble shoot software and hardware issues.
  • Confer with supervisor to determine project details, such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions.
  • Implementing preventative maintenance programs, adhering to safety regulations and enforcing industry requirements.
  • Confer with manufacturer’s representatives, faculty, and staff in determining equipment.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent expertise.
  • Working knowledge of wireless technologies and /or Tower construction.
  • Certification in any industry standards desirable.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a busy telecommunications environment.
  • Experience in routing and switching networking, Unix, Windows Operating Systems knowledge of GSM packet switch infrastructure.

Reputable Company Job Vacancy : Fibre & Outside Plant Supervisor

The Fibre and OSP Supervisor oversees on-going fibre optic & civil work activities delivered by field engineers assuring adherence to agreed scope of work and deliveries’ specifications, and managing and following up on changes, unforeseen hinders and other events having an impact on project scope, cost and time.

The OSP Supervisor will be involved in the day to day communication with the service providers, as well as with Customer and Local Authority organizations in the construction of the Fiber project.

Key Measures on Performance

  • Assurance in compliance to Industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Splice fiber optic cables including both loose tube and ribbon optic cables. Construct a proper splice case, including but not limited to grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage and sealing.
  • Performs construction, splicing, distribution changes of the OSP fiber optic cables.
  • Performs tests on the OSP network to trouble shoot problems and makes necessary repairs on the OSP facilities once problem is identified.
  • Perform site survey to identify and approve the BOQ and ensures work is done according to ITC quality standards.
  • Fusion splices fiber optic cable, mounts splice closures and ONT’s and performs other OSP functions as directed by the OSP engineer.
  • Prepare engineering Field notes. Interpret buried underground and aerial telecom facilities in records, on maps and in the field with clarity and detail and make recommendations for changes in running line or construction methodologies.
  • Coordinates works with contractors and assists in maintenance schedules and protocols.
  • Attends safety and compliance meetings and attends training as required.
  • Being a primary interface with local authorities, SP and customer regarding appropriate work permits and licenses.

 Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent expertise.
  • FTTx and/or blown fibre deployment experience are distinct advantages i.e. fibre termination using fusion splicing, testing fibre links with OTDR.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of Health & Safety legislation
  • User experience for Microsoft Office Tools including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Project;
  • User experience for Visio/AutoCAD/GIS tools is desired

Skills and Knowledge

  • At least 3 years in telecommunications industry, with 2 years’ experience in Fiber network deployments
  • Specific Knowledge of Civil Works planning applications with Local Authorities.
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices/standards, operations, contract management.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environment; Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills who is comfortable in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment.

The software developer shall build and customize applications, systems and interfaces to support internal process and business departments. The developer will interact with third party service providers as well as other internal IT units. The developer must demonstrate good knowledge of spring core, spring boot, spring framework and Redhat linux. Also prowess in system integration using SOAP and ISO 8583 protocols and development of web and mobile driven applications.

 Responsibilities

  • Proven experience in software development in building headless and web applications in Java (J2EE).
  • Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and
  • In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development
  • Experience in development and customization of T24 Core banking system is an added
  • Strong knowledge and experience in database technology [Oracle and MySQL] and writing database scripts including complex SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures and
  • Detailed knowledge of common front-end development tools and technologies, including HTML5 / CSS3, JavaScript application libraries and frameworks (including Angular JS), frontend performance optimization, progressive enhancement, cross-platform development.
  • Knowledge in Redhat Linux Operating system and experience in RH Linux system Administration and Linux shell
  • Knowledge and experience management and deploying of web applications to web containers including Jboss, Wild Fly and Oracle Web
  • Excellent understanding of software design and programming
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Development or related subject.
  • 2 + years’ experience active development experience in Agile Methodology with Any: php5+, java (EE), Python, Javascript and frameworks.
  • Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and
  • In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development
  • Working experience with source version tools, experience with automated build and test tools.
  • Java – A certified oracle java programmer
  • Spring Framework – The resource should have at least 4 years of solid
    experience on this requirement.
  • Spring core, spring boot, experience in containerization and linux.
  • Experience in Redhat Linux.
  • Experience in Integration with third party applications (Financial systems, Mobile money etc).
  • Excellent understanding of software design and programming
  • Experience in micro services, web services and API handling in general.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
