Our client, a well-established construction and security company is looking to recruit a Canvas Tailor. The ideal candidate MUST have above 2 years canvas tailoring experience in the textile industry and proficiency using a sewing machine.
Canvas Tailor Job Responsibilities
- Fabric selection.
- Proper positioning of posts or attachment points to create the appropriate sheeting angle.
- Calculating hollow on free flying edges.
- Cut and label the patterns.
- Basting panels and sewing panels.
- Creating hems on edges, hollow and corner patches.
- Installing rings at corners with webbing.
Qualifications for the Canvas Tailor Job
- Must have a Certificate/Diploma in Tailoring and Upholstery.
- Must have above 2 years’ canvas tailoring experience in the textile industry.
- Must be proficiency in using a sewing machine.
- Must be self motivated.
