Market Complexity:

Purpose of Role:

A key support role to the Finance Controller. Key role in driving market compliance on BFC reporting, including productivity and the highest standards of planning, reporting and process management.

Top Accountabilities

• Coordinate AOP planning process – taking in to the input from the market commercial finance team on volumes and NSV, input from Supply on COGS and pulling the rest of the P&L including A&P, OH, OIE. Prepare schedules, slides as required to support the FC and FD on the above market conversations.
• Manage/co-ordinate all pieces/functions supporting the plan for reporting into BFC – Vol, NSV, COGS, A&P, Overheads, OIE, Cash and BS. Ensure accurate and timely submission.
• Prepare R&O files/schedules for discussion with FD around each P&L lines including Volume and NSV. Lead the WD1 and WD2 calls with FC and FD pulling inputs on actual and Outlook from all the team
• Lead and own the monthly R&O process, coordinating and holding other departments to account. Ensure accurate and timely submission of BFC requirements – P&L, Shipments, Depletions and Cash and of ARM offline templates as part of R&O requirements.
• Prepare local BPM pack including – VPM’s, NSV rates and analysis etc. for FC and FD’s use on performance calls. Lead on Micro strategy roll-out for the market.
• Track and report on a daily basis volume and NSV performance of the business relative to AOP and S&OP. Send on a weekly basis Depletions performance of the business to the leadership team for review.

Support/prepare finance input into Exec Meetings, S&OP, Town Hall meetings and any other required presentations.

• Tertiary degree level/ MBA

• In market knowledge – understands and relates to sales and marketing terminology and key performance drivers
• Conceptual, problem solving/analytical skills
• Good experience of relationship building

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Royal Service Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

Job Summary

This study is seeking a research assistant to work on the Monitoring and Evaluation team. This individual will work closely with the various members of the team to conduct research on various aspects of reproductive, maternal and child healthcare. This role will include the following responsibilities:

• Collecting and organizing data
• Conducting data entry
• Ensuring data quality
• Working with M&E team members to improve and refine data collection and entry tools

We are looking for someone who is interested in building up their research methods skills. This person should be an intelligent, proactive, and flexible individual with experience conducting surveys for health research and evaluations.

Conditions: This is a part time position with the possibility to transition to a full time position, subject to performance and availability of funding. Employee schedules will be planned on a weekly basis and Remuneration will be on a daily rate

Reports to: Finance Manager
Department: Clinical Operations
This position is responsible for the maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of final books of accounts. This holder of this position is accountable for the timely preparation of monthly journal entries and the reconciliation of the accounts and related schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

Core Duties

• Providing accurate and timely management accounting reports and business performance data.
• Coordinating the preparation of accurate and up-to date financial and management accounting information to facilitate decision making.
• Establishing and maintaining effective internal control systems and procedures.
• Maintaining robust cash handling and banking procedures.
• Designing and implementing effective systems of monitoring performance against budget.
• Identifying significant budget variances and possible remedial action.
• Producing divisional and corporate forecasts for income and expenditure on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Providing relevant and timely monthly statements, reports and reconciliations together with appropriate interpretation and advice for the Senior Management Team.
• Ensuring effective cash flow and treasury management.
• Liaising with the external auditors and managing the annual audit process

Primary/Operational Duties

• Maintenance of General Ledger, Accounts Analysis, Reconciliations and Review of the Trial Balance
• Ensure that all the Hospital’s bank and cash accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and that outstanding items are followed up and cleared.
• Maintenance of the Fixed Assets Register
• Preparation & Input of Journal Entries in the system with the approval of the Finance Manager
• Preparation of management report for both internal and external reporting.
• Compilation of information and preparation of schedules required by internal and independent auditors for assigned areas of responsibility
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing tasks that include, account analysis, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, actual to forecast variance analysis etc.
• Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory and monitoring inventory transactions
• Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger
• Analyzing inventory cost variances and other accuracy issues impacting perpetual inventory records
• Assist with planning, execution, reconciliation and reporting of physical inventory counts
• Ensure all incoming and out-going invoices are settled on time
• Ensure the company complies with all PAYE, VAT, Tax return and financial reporting requirements
• Perform day-to-day accounting functions
• Any other responsibility assigned by the Finance Manager

Education & Experience

• Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting or its equivalent.
• CPA(K) or ACCA.
• Minimum three (5) years progressive working experience
• Experience in healthcare industry is an added advantage
• At least two (2) years’ experience in an audit firm

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Excellent analytics and experience with financial statements, QuickBooks, and Excel
• Proficient in accounting software applications and use of ERP.
• Highly resourceful, independent, and self-starting
• Ability to communicate findings compellingly to colleagues and advisors
• Interest in global health
