Finance Manager Job Responsibilities
- Ensures timely preparation of accurate trial balances and economic reports to enable discussion and effective decision making.
- Monitors and advises the Chief Executive Officer on the adherence to liquidity ratio and other financial requirements.
- To prepare financial accounts on monthly basis.
- To prepare monthly cash flow projections.
- To ensure implementation and sustenance of sound accounting systems and routines in the society.
- Supervises transactions in all society bank accounts and monitors liquidity position to ensure adequate funds for members’ service.
- Ensures proper and accurate maintenance of the fixed assets register.
- Guides and ensure proper preparation of annual budget, strategic plans, and economic reports and ensures their implementation and provision of resources.
- To liase with External Auditors and ensure audited accounts and balance sheet is timely produced for presentation to the members.
- Ensures that all bank accounts are properly updated and that monthly bank reconciliation is correctly and timely done for all bank accounts.
- Maintains an updated register of society investments and ensure proper administration of the investment policy of the society.
- To prepare SASRA (Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority) reports on monthly and quarterly basis.
Qualifications for the Finance Manager Job
- Must be a holder of Business related Degree (Finance or Accounts) from a recognized University.
- Must be a holder of CPA (K). A Diploma in Banking or Co-operative Management will be an added advantage.
- Must have attained a C+ in KCSE.
- Must be computer literate.
- Understand Sacco policies and procedures.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience.
