Our client in a dairy industry is seeking to hire a welder to join their dedicate team in Nakuru
Job description
Designs, fabricates, joins, and repairs equipment, fixtures, and structures by using various welding techniques. Welders are called upon to lift and carry heavy objects, and work under conditions of restricted movement.
Welder Job Responsibilities
- Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
- Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of welding assignments.
- Estimates material and labor.
- Recommends supplies and materials to be ordered.
- Skills in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures.
Qualifications for the Welder Job
- Diploma in Mechanical engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience/Hands on
- Having worked in a dairy industry is an added advantage
- Knowledge of welding techniques, (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, and TIG), tools and equipment
