Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a data scientist / analyst to support decision making across operations. Solid technical skills as well as communication and analysis skills are essential for this role. This is an opportunity join a rapidly growing team, in an exciting and pioneering new business for urban Africa where your contributions will have a large impact.
Qualifications for the Data Scientist Job
- At least two years experience in a data science / analytics oriented role, preferably handling large data sets to generate meaningful outputs for non technical stakeholders
- A degree in engineering, software development or computer science
- Strong business acumen, with an intuitive understanding of metrics and KPIs
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills,
- Fluency in excel and powerpoint
- Good analytical skills, ability to draw out key trends from complex data using data visualisations
- Experience using BI tools such as Tableau
- Experience with ETL tools for data manipulation
- Programming experience using Python
- Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R
