Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business analysis to gather required BI system requirements
- Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to drive data store/ data warehouse/ data mart /dashboards design and configuration
- Use ETL tools to load data store(s)/ data warehouse(s)/ data mart(s).
- Develop blended Business Intelligence reports using data from OCS
- Transition developed BI systems to the Operations & Support team
- Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of enterprise data and BI environments for both external and internal users
- Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented in the sphere of influence
- Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members
- Initiate and lead projects from start to finish using sound project management skills.
- Manage own workload and work with the relevant colleagues and customers to prioritize enhancements
- Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes
- Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision
Skill set
Required Qualification:
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics or related field is preferable.
- At least 4 years’ experience in design development and implementation of enterprise BI reporting.
- BI Certifications will be an added advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of BI project management approach
- Experience with client engagement
- Some experience in developing procedural documentation and presentations
- Ability to function positively and productively as part of a team
- Familiarity with one or more of the administrative system areas covered (e.g. finance, HR, grants management, inventory management, etc.)
