NOC Manager Job Responsibilities
- Oversee entire Hub / NOC Operations – (Nairobi, DRC, London, and Zambia)
- Oversee ICT activities
- Oversee Help Desk operations
- Oversee Backhaul Operations
- Oversee VSAT Operations
- Oversee Broadcast Hub infrastructure Operations.
- Oversee the project implementation and requirements
- Liaise with Field support team leader on all installations / changes to existing customers
- Monitor customer needs and actively follow up on problems.
- Coordinate all functions related to the all Hubs system and RFT
- Spares planning
- Weekly, Quarterly reports
- Schedule regular operation meetings to review hub operation and help desk activities
- Adhere process and procedures
- Participate in Tenders and EOI
- Assist pre-sales team for solution design
- Manage Teleport Team
- Manage Broadcasting Team
- Work closely with Regional Hub Manager
- Manage SLA and escalations
Qualifications for the NOC Manager Job
- At least 8 -10 years in Networks/ Telecommunications industry with extensive experience leading key projects
- At least 5 years working on Media/ Broadcasting solutions
- At least 3 – 5 years managing network facilities – Broadcast Studios, Data Centres or Dish farms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Telecommunications/ Information Technology from a reputable university.
- iDirect TAC/ Newtec/ Hughes qualifications
- IP Networks certifications – CCNA/ CCNP/ JCNIA/ CCNSP etc
- Leadership and Management certificates would be an added advantage
- Extensive Customer Relations Knowledge
- Hands on VSAT/ RF Knowledge – Remote installation and Hub-side management. Working knowledge of iDirect NMS and installation is mandatory.
- Hands on Broadcasting knowledge – Harmonics Mux/ Outside Broadcasting/ DSNG/ Video Uplink
- Network or Broadcasting Facilities Management – Teleport, Studio or Data Centre
- Hands on Knowledge of IP Networks and System Integration – Cisco/ Juniper/ Cyberoam
