- Supervise activities of housekeeping to ensure proper cleanliness, safety and infection control standards.
- Visit assigned areas and make sure that cleaning is being done according to the standard and that schedules are followed.
- Inspect all patients’ rooms after checkout and release for new admissions only when they have met the prescribe cleanliness standards.
- Arrange adequate staff coverage to all areas by distributing staff efficiently on daily basis.
- Inspect all equipment on daily basis to ensure they are clean and in good operational condition.
- Handle all cleaning request by assigning the concerned person
- Ensure control and efficient use of supplies.
- Provide on the job training to staff.
Requirements for the Housekeeping Supervisor Job
- Diploma in Housekeeping and Laundry.
- 5 years’ experience with at least 2 years in a similar position.
- Experience in a Hospital set up will be an added advantage.
- Good team leader.
