We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the IT Planning & Delivery Department within the Technology Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Reporting to the Senior Manager- Business Analysis & Architecture, the position holder will be responsible for creating technical solutions for business problems, utilizing available IT assets; Managing the architecture function of IT, including establishing an Enterprise IT Architecture that will enable maximum automation as well as innovation in business processes and in customer services; Maintaining the IT service catalogue and roadmap in liaison with the Manager Analysis & Architecture as well as participating in the formulation of the IT strategy and roadmaps.
Job Requirement
Manage Architecture section.
- Plan, prepare and administer the budget for the Architecture section.
- Recommend and participate in hiring of staff.
- Supervise, motivate, reward, discipline and evaluate staff performance.
- Assign tasks, and define goals and objectives for the staff
- Develop the skill base of the staff assigned.
- Guide the section and direct the development of related policies and procedures and SLA’s.
Technical solution design
- Translate documented business requirements into a technical solution design for implementation.
- Collaboratively oversee the development of the solution as per agreed architecture.
- Provide solution architecture input into all new system tenders
Enterprise Architecture
- Maintain up to date EA documentation.
- Maintain up to date IT service catalogue documentation
· Proactively communicate to business stakeholders on the available IT capabilities
Job qualifications
- Degree in Science/ICT/computer science/Engineering/Business related.
- Solution Architecture skills ( Advanced level)
- 8 years of software development experience in a busy IT development environment, 2 years of which must include experience in systems analysis and design.
- Advanced skills in logical and physical data modeling, relational databases.
- Experience in multiple programming languages and Web services
- Experience with both UNIX and Windows platforms are necessary
- Knowledge of networking-TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing
- Knowledge of security-encryption (SSL), certificates, firewalls, VPN, IPSec, etc
- Experience integrating products into legacy systems.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate teams to deliver to required quality and timelines.
