Forklift Operator Job Responsibilities
- Servicing of heavy material handling equipment to specified standards
- Ensure mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs are accurately and timeously completed.
- Perform accurate diagnosis/troubleshooting in event of breakdown of equipment;
- Accurate interpretation of hydraulic schematics and electrical diagrams
- Ensure a safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety device operations
- Performing daily equipment checks: recharging the truck’s battery, fueling and maintenance
Requirements for the Forklift Operator Job
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive/Plant Option)
- Trade test certificate, Forklift / Diesel / Electrical
- 3 -5 years’ experience in mechanical problems, troubleshooting and repair of forklifts and lifting devices
- Must have a clean and valid driving license with 2 years of experience in driving.( class type BCE with forklift authorization)
