POSITION OBJECTIVES
A dairy production supervisor is responsible for assisting the manager in dairy plant operation and implementing the short and long-term business plan in the Society. He/she will be expected to drive the business and work with the manager to ensure success
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
i. Manage plans and schedule the dairy operation of processing plant.
ii.Oversee all plant functions including processing,cleaning,general maintenance and marketing
iii.Comply with all regulation requirements by Kenya Daily Board and other regulation sectors.
iv.Work conjunction with Quality Assurance in maintaining practices in the plant that assures product Quality and safety
v.Responsible for expenses control
vi.Ensuring that good quality milk is received,processed and sold
vii.Ensuring quantity received is quantity sold hence eliminating shortages
viii.Incharge of staff working in the processing plant
QUALIFICATION
1.At least a bachelor’s degree in food science/Dairy science processing
2.At least 2yrs working experience in Dairy/Food production and must be familiar with dairy processing equipment and CIP system
3.Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
4.Must have an excellent supervising skills
5.Must be a computer literate
6.A valid driving license will be an added advantage
7.Ability to work under minimum supervision and under pressure
8.Experience of managing a team of staff
