As Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for the timely procurement and delivery of high quality, low cost goods and services and proper processing of all requests.
Responsibilities
- Participate in development and review of procurement policies and procedures
- Procure various supplies/materials at the most competitive terms
- Maintain and update pre-qualified suppliers list to facilitate quick ordering
- Ensure services and goods are delivered on time and are within stated specifications
- Coordinate procurement of quality materials and services to support business operations
- Manage contract execution for stock items in liaison with user departments
- Participate in preparation of purchasing budgets
- Assist in preparing specifications for required goods and services
- Invite, assess, and award/recommend suppliers for tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management
- 5+ years experience in supply chain
- Diploma in supplies, procurement, or supply chain management
- Member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM)
- Advanced IT skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and supplier relationship management
- Good communication, negotiation, and innovation skills
- Team first attitude
