- Understand, Implement and improve the FSMS-FSSC;22000.
- Provides direction and influence for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of all quality systems.
- Assures that all products and packs produced at the site are safe for consumption and conform to the intended product design. This includes being responsible for actively supporting change management and process improvement as the R&D Quality Champion
- Supervise and train production subordinates for growth and development by ensuring associates are qualified and trained in assigned positions.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of team members and associates through constructive feedback (Incl written reviews and corrective counselling etc) Support to meet expectations, maintain open door communication and promote an issue free environment.
- Represent the “brand” with respect to the quality and safety of products and the food processing environment. This responsibility includes participation in the management of crises involving products, and the timely communication of the investigation results through R&D and Supply. Also responsible for the on-going interpretation and reporting of information from our customers and consumers, and the identification and analysis of trends, which may trigger an investigation.
- Make necessary changes to accelerate the completion of orders. Responsible for manpower adjustments, order status updates, processing of orders, problem resolution and assisting the team in improving productivity and enhancing product quality.
- Work very closely with heads of other departments for order coordination, dispatch and overall planning to ensure company goals are met.
- Ensure that daily production goals are met and total labour costs are within budget.
- Oversees and participates in the development of performance, efficiency, and product quality standards for the brand. Leads production planning and provides feedback to management .
- Serves as a liason to the warehousing, and production regarding product changes, required production needs, production processes, future strategic objectives, etc for production department.
- Initiates meetings or other communications with other departments regarding the resolution of ongoing problems,the implementation of new procedures and processes, other development of new plans or designs for the production department
- Recommend and take an active role in improving production methods, technician and equipment performance, production quality and increase total department efficiency utilizing the Kaizen approach. Must be able to work overtime as required.

Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related technical field is required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical area such as R&D, product development,, quality management systems, or food process engineering
- Experience effectively leading a team and accomplishing goals through others
- Basic understanding of regulatory and food laws.
