- Verifying periodical financial returns that are required to be submitted from time to time such as pending bill returns, expenditure returns, imprest returns, revenue and Appropriation-In-Aid returns, staff returns and vehicle returns etc.;
- Ensuring that Government physical assets, plant and equipment, supplies, stores, etc., are appropriately recorded in the relevant registers and are kept under safe custody;
- Ensuring that revenue, Appropriation-In-Aid (A-I-A) and other receipts due to the Government are collected promptly, banked immediately and accounted for and where revenue collectable is not fixed, ensure that pre-audit of the relevant documents is carried out.
Qualifications
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) C- (Minus)
- Must be in possession of CPA Part I,
OR
- Diploma in Internal Auditing orCIA Part II from a recognized institution.
- Registration by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE)
- Satisfy the requirement of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 leadership and Integrity.
Additional Requirements
- All applicants are expected to attach copies of the following additional documents
- Tax Compliance Certificate.
- Clearance from HELB where necessary.
- Clearance from the Ethics and anti-Corruption Commission.
- Certificate of good conduct from the police.
