1. IT Officer
Golf Hotel Kakamega seeks to hire an IT Officer to manage the IT functions of the hotel.
Reporting to the Operations Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operations of the IT department.
Responsibilities
- Manage and Support Software Solutions, Cloud Hosted Applications including email Network Infrastructure, Servers and other business software.
- Document all support requests and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
- Monitor and Optimize LAN connectivity and Internet Connectivity.
- Prioritize Business Application bandwidth
- Monitor and Optimize Firewall
- Regular software updates, performance checks ,security checkups, Power/UPS checkups
- Manage Computers, Laptops, and Mobiles
- Ensure daily ERP Database Backup, user Data Backup
- Maintain user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Support and Train Users on various software in use
- Responsible for the server room and all the equipment installed there.
Key Reporting
- Daily Activity Report;
- Weekly Activity/Support Reports;
- Training/Support schedules.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Information Technology in a similar role
- Experience managing an ERP system
- Experience with managing Office 365
- Experience managing IT infrastructures and data connectivity
- IT project management experience
- Problem solving ability
- Exemplary planning skills
2. Security Supervisor
Golf Hotel Kakamega seeks to hire a security supervisor to manage the security department in the hotel.
Reporting to the operations manager, the Security supervisor will.
- Protect and carry out asset protection and loss prevention measures.
- Ensures proper access control of assets, material, vehicle and personnel.
- Project a professional, confident, efficient and reassuring image to hotel guests, visitors and staff.
- Detect and report immediately any threats directed to the hotel to relevant hotel authorities.
- Provide thorough and up to date knowledge of security, safety and fire prevention.
- Assist guests, visitors, staff, suppliers and all public associate’s while maintaining a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Undertake patrols and post duties as directed by superiors.
- Monitor the operations of all electronic security devices, alarm, and surveillance systems.
- Operate C.C.T.V.
- Respond to all security enquires as per hotel requirements.
- Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time depending on the need of the business and hotel.
- Training of staff for emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma
- Must be computer literate.
- 2 years’ experience in security operations at supervisory level.
- Good communication in English and Kiswahili.
- A person of high integrity.
