KEMRI –CCR PHRD (Thika) clinical trials Project is currently looking for a motivated individual to fill in the following position:
Data Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the management of data systems in the organization
- Update and development of data management Standard Operating Systems for the organization
- Create and maintain large study data sets
- Develop data capture tools
- Manage large clinical databases, including data cleaning and construction of analytic data sets
- Provide data management technical support and quality assurance to studies ensuring that study protocols are adhered to
- Oversee the Installation, connection , testing and set up of hardware and software technologies
- Train staff in data related areas
- Support procurement of IT/Data equipment
- Provide recommendations and advice about future planning for accessing and purchasing of technology resources.
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources.
- Monitor security of all IT infrastructure
- Manage and supervise department staff.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor
Qualifications for The Data Manager Job
- A BSc. Degree in statistics or related field. A Master’s degree in data management, statistics, or a related field will be an added advantage
- At least 3 years of clinical data management experience
- Data management software and analytic skills.
- Competencies and skills.
- Data management and analysis skills.
- Very Good IT skills including hardware, software and networks.
- Good communication skills.
- Supervisory skills.
