Accountant II Job Responsibilities
- Examination of payment vouchers in accordance with the laid down financial regulations. Thorough verification of entries in the general ledger.
- Preparation of bank reconciliation statements.
- Supervision of the revenue collection processes.
- Control of expenditure and below-the-line (BTL) group of accounts.
- Undertaking a limited range of management accounting.
- General supervision of personnel under him/her.
- Personnel training and development.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements for the Accountant II Job
For direct appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of at least C+ (Plus) or its equivalent;
- Passed Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPAII) Examination; or
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance or its recognized equivalent.
