To provide treatment, transport and stabilization of chronically or acutely ill and/or injured patients across the lifespan to regional referral or trauma centres. The flight nurse collaborates with other health team members and associated resource persons to problem solve and provide continuity in patient care to maximize patient outcomes. For these reasons it is vital that our nurses are committed to safe operations, premier customer service, and expert clinical practice.
Qualifications
- Kenyan Registered Nurse or its equivalent
- Higher National Diploma in Intensive Care Nursing
- Current certifications in: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) with experience in Pre-hospital emergency patient care
- Minimum of 5 years’ nursing experience. Within the last 5 years to include emergency / critical care experience.
- Critical Care transport experience (ground and air) is an added advantage
