The Project Manager oversees all the project activities to ensure excellent execution of projects. This position ensures that the objectives set are met within set time and allocated resources.
Key Measures on Performance
- 100% ensure that the primary project objectives are met within time and resources.
- 100% develop a baseline project plan and schedule.
- Ensuring that all the projects are 100% within the set budget.
- 100% match the teams according to the project needs.
- 0% cancellation of projects due to poor quality.
- 100% maintain sound internal processes that enable efficient and effective execution of projects.
- 100% records of all complains raised and handle them within the best timeline.
- Ensure there is 100% good flow of communication between the project implementers and the procurement.
- At least 90% use of the Work Breakdown structure to develop project plan.
- 0% cancellation of projects or/and penalties due to delays in implementing.
Responsibilities
- To coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects.
- To ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- To assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Develop a project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Successfully manage the relationship with clients and stakeholders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Organizing the various professional people working on a project.
- Ensuring that the aim of a project are met.
- Allocate the engineers resources to start the technical engagement.
- Follow up on project updates and KPI.
- Updating customers on project status.
- Contacting clients in case of any changes.
- Managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans.
- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent expertise.
- Project Management certifications an advantage
- Working knowledge of wireless technologies and /or Tower construction.
- Certification in any industry standards desirable
Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management in the telecommunication industry.
- Thorough understanding of industry practices/standards, operations, contract management.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environment; Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills who is comfortable in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment.
- Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to clearly explain issues to contractors and fellow employees.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Good time management.
- Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for fiber construction.
- Fiber and Microwaves knowledge.
- History of adhering to safety procedures and practices.
- High degree of focus and attention to detail/strong organizational skills.
