Reports to Director Transport.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical from an Institution recognized in Kenya;
- Must be a registered Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya;
- Knowledge of road vehicle standards;
- Advanced computer skills (MS project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access and Engineering design software);
- At least three (3) years relevant experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering from a reputable organization;
- Demonstrate a high degree of professional and technical competence in work performance and results;
- Be a strategic thinker and results oriented;
- Satisfied the requirements of Chapter six on leadership and integrity;
- Have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for plant(s);
- Diagnose faults and ensure timely repairs of the county machinery, equipment
and its fleet of vehicles; - Requisition and verification of quality spares ordered both for machinery and fleet
maintenance; - Responsible for writing technical reports on plant and fleet maintenance;
- Schedule timely statutory maintenance and repairs of county plant (s);
- Installation and commissioning of new machinery.
