I &M Bank Limited (a regional Bank with a fast growing branch network around the country) is looking to set up a Digital factory to drive its digital strategy. The Digital factory will work under a special function hived off from the day to day operations and will collaborate with different functions of the Bank to deliver solutions that are customer centric in design and that will radically simplify business requirements and scale fast to full utilization using a clean sheet approach to deliver the desired value.

The Bank is looking to recruit a competent and highly motivated individual for the following positions:

Manager Group Information Systems Audit

The role supports the group audit function and entity audit heads with Information Systems audits by driving IS related audit strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and execution of the group audit strategy in relation to Information Systems. This includes devising IS audit strategies, introducing IS audit best practices by way of documentation and training and maximize use of computer assisted auditing tools (IDEA data analysis tool) across the group.
  • Support group entity heads of audit by providing guidance to entity Information Systems auditors in undertaking audits of Information Systems deployed in different functions being audited by the assurance and consultancy units in line with Internal Audit methodology, processes, procedures and timeframes. This includes review of audit reports from Group entities for quality assurance.
  • Perform Information Systems Audits in the entities as and when requested and draft suitable audit reports highlighting root causes and key process/ control weaknesses, non-compliance with procedures and policies, regulatory requirements, among others in those areas audited.
  • Undertake IS related special audits/ investigations/ review assignments as assigned by Group Head of Internal Audit.
  • Support in the development and execution of the IS Audit plans for the Group entities.
  • Provide IS security consultancy services for projects undertaken by the Group entities ensuring compliance with best practice. This includes providing support:
  • To business during acquisition and/or implementation of new systems
  • In the development of policies and procedure manuals of ICT/IS function and related processes.
  • Provide constructive feedback on performance evaluation to GM Group Audit on IS audit team members of group entities.
  • Provide support to audit teams in independently extracting and analyzing data using IDEA.
  • Administrative work assigned related to Group Audit Function

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and;
  • CISM and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) will be an added advantage.
  • At least 9 year’s relevant experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in ICT/ Information Security function and/or IS Audit function, 3 of which should have been at managerial level in a bank with regional presence.

Generic Competencies

  • Knowledge of banking operations and products in banking.
  • The ability to undertake independent, objective assurance activity with a focus to add value and improve an organization’s operations.
  • The ability to effectively assess and measure risk (local and regional) as well as risk management strategies.
  • Broad understanding of the use of technology in processing information and inherent risks of applying that technology.
  • Proficient in the use of IDEA, ACL or other data analysis tools.

Transformation Delivery Administrator – iCube

The role holder will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Digital Manager and will have a dotted reporting line to the Human Resources Manager on HR related matters.

The incumbent will also liaise with Line Managers as and when required to do so as to ensure iCube related issues are appropriately and effectively dealt with.In addition, the position will collaborate with the Group companies to assist in coordinating iCube matters arising out of day to day operation.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Digital Manager which includes diary administrative assignments of the function including stakeholder management
  • Managing general iCube department administrative matters which includes liaising with other departments to execute or resolve issues that may arise in the normal course of work
  • Organizing offsite & team bonding events that align with our aspirations to drive and uphold a cohesive team culture.
  • Challenging & driving new ideas and initiatives to make every working day the most efficient it can be.
  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness i.e. ensuring the office is cleaned regularly and also following-up on repairs and maintenance iCube;
  • Engaging in supplies management which includes:
  • Receiving all supplies for the floor and reconciling with purchase orders;
  • Issuing office supplies to the entire floor and maintaining proper records of all items issued
  • Ensuring effective utilization of stationery, grocery and other supplies;
  • Stock taking;
  • Advising the procurement department on the requirements for the entire floor; and
  • Receiving invoices and facilitating payments to the suppliers/vendors after proper reconciliation is done
  • Coordinating and arranging for meetings as required.
  • Preparing all administrative details necessary to carry out recruitment for iCube unit which include:
  • Scheduling interview date and time in consultation with the panellists;
  • Coordinating and ensuring all appropriate candidates undertake the test and providing feedback and update in a timely manner on the results received for necessary action
  • In Liaison with Digital Manager and HR Manager receiving and tracking all iCube applications and update the Trello board in a timely manner
  • In Liaison with the Digital Manager and HR Manager updating the recruitment tracker for the iCube in timely manner
  • Preparing summaries for the candidates who have passed interviews for iCube positions and forwarding the same to HR for appropriate action
  • Contacting candidates for the interview and advise them on the interview date and time
  • Providing regular update/feedback to candidates on the iCube recruitment process
  • Sending out regrets to unsuccessful candidates for positions within the iCube unit;
  • Providing candidates with the necessary joining documents.
  • Coordinating with relevant departments and ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place prior a new staff joining date
  • Coordinating with the branch to ensure staff accounts for the new staff are opened on time;
  • Ensuring that the exit management process is well maintained for the iCube department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Secretarial /Human resources/ Business Administration / Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution. (Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage)
  • High levels of initiative and the ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Ability to manage own workflow, work effectively under pressure and pre-empt tasks with limited supervision
  • Demonstrable ability in managing and balancing priorities, sometimes when they are in conflict
  • Confident interpersonal/communication and people skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills;
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills and report writing skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion and uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
