Records Management at Energy Regulatory Commission(ERC)

The Commission is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced, result-oriented and highly motivated Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant position:

Reporting to the Senior Records Management Officer, the successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring security and safety of all records and documents including appropriately filing, maintaining and updating records.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of records management policies and procedures;
  • Providing support in security of files and information;
  • Handling of documents, pending correspondences and bring ups;
  • Participating in developing records disposal schedules in accordance with relevant National Archives guidelines and regulations ;
  • Classifying and indexing of records;
  • Assisting in mail management; and
  • Participating in maintaining, verifying and evaluating existing records management systems.

Qualifications

  • At least four (4) years relevant work experience;
  • A Diploma in Records Management, Information Management, Information Science, Library Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Proficiency in computer application skills;
  • Demonstrated results in work performance
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
  • Planning skills;
  • Communication and reporting skills;
  • Interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements

Applicants are required to provide a detailed CV indicating their current and previous employers, positions held, current and expected salary, names of at least three professional referees, education and professional certificates together with a copy of national identity card or passport.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and provide:

  1. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
  2. Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
  3. Tax compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
  4. Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
  5. Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
