Environment Lead at Guinness

To protect brands, people and reputation, EABL processes must operate effectively and efficiently to ensure adherence to legislation, Diageo’ s policies and the Diageo Global Risk Management Standards. This is in order to satisfy Diageo’ s governance requirements.

You will execute and maintain initiatives that deliver compliance to and improved performance against Environment legislation and Diageo’s Risk Management Policies, Strategy and Standards.

The significance of this role is important as an in-market lead implementing the wider company environmental strategy, policy and programmes that promote sustainable development, which is identified as a business priority, and in line with Diageo’s Blue Print strategy, Global Environmental Policy, Code of Business Conduct, and 2020 targets.

Top Accountabilities

Enforce the required Environmental compliance to legislation and Diageo Standards for the site

Ensure Implementation of Food safety, Quality, Environment and Safety Management Systems according to FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO14001 and BS 18001 requirements respectively in his scope of work

Benchmark, draw, implement and manage KBL Environment performance program

Embed Environmental requirements in day to day operations

Qualifications

A honors Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Sustainability Process Engineering Science or Engineering disciplines

Comprehensive knowledge of integrated management systems ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards plus any other management systems that may apply.

Advanced competency in environmental capability framework for Environmental sustainability, Carbon & Energy, Water and Waste water, Solid waste and resource use, Specific aspects to air, land and water, and site biodiversity.

Strong analytical, problem solving and auditing skills

Effective engagement, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.

Able to lead or work effectively in cross-functional teams

Good communication skills and management influencing

Project management skills Computer literate

Nebosh International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or similar certification is an advantage

Experience

FMCG industry experience

Experience in SHE management disciplines, incident investigation and route cause analysis, dealing with external authorities and managing/coordinating within a multi-site and multi-cultural environment.
