Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning of the Laundry room;
- Collecting and dispatching of linen;
- Inspecting and sorting linen before washing;
- Washing the linen;
- Ironing and arranging linen;
- Carrying out regular/routine checks to determine the functionality of the laundry machines;
- Issuing the cleaned linen;
- Ensuring that standards and procedures are followed;
- Identify linen that needs to be replaced; and
- Keeping records of the Laundry tools equipment, materials and stores
Description
- Certificate course in Laundry, Housekeeping or Institutional Management from a recognized institution; Mandatory
- Proficiency in computer applications Mandatory
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution. Added Advantage
- CRB Clerance Certificate Added Advantage
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commision Certificate Added Advantage
- Good Conduct Certificate Added Advantage
- HELB Clearance Certificate Added Advantage
- KRA Certificate Added Advantage
- Planning skills Added Advantage
- Communicating skills Added Advantage
