Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.
Job Description
The Directorate of Strategy and Compliance requires Performance Management, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer KMR 6. This is the entry and training grade in this cadre. An officer at this level will work under guidance and supervision of a senior officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in drafting monitoring and evaluation frameworks and plans
- Assist in developing regular Monitoring and Evaluation reports
- Assist in developing operational research tools and data analysis
- Collect and populate data into Monitoring and Evaluation data base and facilitate retrieval
- Assisting in Writing and submitting reports on specific assignments;
- Assisting in evaluating implementation of performance contract and compile reports
- Monitor and evaluate implementation of strategic plan and Annual Work Plans;

- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Project Planning and Management; Public Policy/Administration, Strategic Management, relevant science field or any other equivalent qualification from a recognised university Mandatory
- Proficiency in computer applications Mandatory
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution. Added Advantage
- CRB Clerance Certificate Added Advantage
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commision Certificate Added Advantage
- Good Conduct Certificate Added Advantage
- HELB Clearance Certificate Added Advantage
