About the Role
This is a mid-level Management Role with a leading software company. The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing and overseeing sales for Attain’s products for both new and existing clients. You will manage commercial relationships and proactively contact clients to maintain a consistent high level of service delivery, whilst identifying further new business opportunities. You will be responsible for maintaining revenue and gross profit of each client in line with annual targets.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding customers’ diverse, specific business needs and applying product knowledge to meet those needs.
- Ensuring quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of the Company’s systems and processes, and then documenting them.
- Identifying and developing new business through networking, and courtesy calls and follow-up.
- Cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services and generate new business leads and arrange meetings.
- Identifying opportunities for further sales and new areas for development through detailed research of the specific industry/market.
- Preparing and delivering customer presentations, and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently.
- Marketing and promoting a portfolio of products by writing and designing sales literature, and through attending industry events.
- Maintaining awareness and keeping abreast of constantly changing software, hardware systems and peripherals.
- Developing effective sales plans utilizing sales methodology.
- Providing technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, both before and after the sale.
- Advising on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts, such as accounting, manufacturing or other specialist areas.
- Meeting set sales targets and contributing to team targets.
- Monitoring the day-to-day commercial performance of each account within a portfolio.
- Regularly liaising with existing clients to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitoring the Business Ready Enhancement Plan.
- Identifying new solutions to offer clients to extend our existing services.
- Ensuring all clients understand the services on offer from Attain.
- Ensure the adherence of the implementation plan timelines.
- Resolve all escalated disputes and ensure client satisfaction from the same.
- Upkeep of client records
- Ensure all client payments are followed up and made on time
- Carry out analysis and produce reports on a monthly and as and when required basis.
- Daily liaison with other members of the team to provide information and ensure that customers receive excellent customer service and suppliers provide consistent services.
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, business, marketing or related field.
- 3 to 6 years’ experience in a similar role in an ICT ERP solutions provider environment
- Experience in sales, marketing or Account Management related field.
- Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
