PATH is recruiting an M&E Officer to support the DMPA-SC Access Collaborative. The M&E Officer will help countries to apply self-injection data to decision-making through improved data visualization and convenings to discuss progress with self-injection scale up and contributions to stronger systems for delivery of quality FP services. The M&E Officer will work closely with the global project M&E team and their Kenya-based PATH colleagues and will report to the PATH Sexual and Reproductive Health Research and Evaluation Manager.
Specific Tasks
- Provide regional technical assistance with data visualization and data use to partners and MOHs in a wide range of FP 2020 countries scaling up self-injection; will include both reactive and proactive outreach and remote and in-person support;
- Work with project M&E team and PATH data use/visualization experts to evolve global online data dashboard for key external audiences (e.g., global donors, MOHs, partners)
- Participate in process of updating data in the project dashboard; assist with quarterly submission of data from at least 20 countries and data quality assurance
- Plan and facilitate Anglophone M&E discussion groups to facilitate cross-country exchange through the project’s online Learning and Action Network
- Contribute to development of data use and visualization tools as part of self-injection scale-up toolkit
- Contribute to the analysis approach for key project Learning Questions, related to the self-injection scale up process in various country settings.
- Support the development and quarterly update of monitoring reports reflecting global project activities, working closely with the global M&E team.
Required Experience
- Master’s degree in public health, demography, epidemiology, statistics, or other related discipline, with specific training on monitoring and evaluation.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, including expertise in developing data visualization tools.
- Comfort using Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Excel, DHIS2, and/or other data management and visualization platforms.
- Knowledge of sexual and reproductive health in the context of low resource settings.
- Effective group facilitation and oral presentation skills, including exceptional PowerPoint skills.
- Effective written communication skills (reports and papers).
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work across global teams, programs, departments, and time zones.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, and train through a variety of methods including online, face-to-face, or blended learning opportunities.
- French language proficiency preferred.
