Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable
Job Grade: KFCB 6
Job Purpose: Responsible in the purchase of goods, works and services for various user departments at the right price, quality, quantity and from the right source.
Responsibilities;
- Ensuring quality goods and services from the suppliers to maintain the standards of the procurement function;
- Maintaining and updating a list of registered suppliers;
- Ensuring efficient discharge of inventory activities, disposal of stores and equipment;
- Ensuring safe custody of all procurement records;
- Implementing existing regulations, procedures and procurement manual;
- Supervising staff;
- Participating in preparation of procurement and disposal plans;
- Shortlisting registered/ prequalified suppliers;
- Preparing and dispatching of tender documents, quotations, request for proposals and expressions of interest;
- Sourcing for goods, works and services as per the procurement law;
- Participating in bid opening and analysis;
- Raising purchase orders for goods and services for approval
- Assisting in undertaking market surveys to ensure value for money;
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods, works and services;
- Responsible for safety of stores and prompt filing of stores documents;
- Processing and forwarding invoices to Finance and Accounts for payment;
- Assisting in preparation of stores projections;
- Preparing weekly and monthly stores reports; s) Liaising closely with relevant office on repair works and general maintenance of offices, equipment and servicing of vehicles to provide efficient and effective support services;
- Reconciling delivery of goods and services and ensuring accurate delivery;
- Participating in disposal of stores and equipment in accordance with the laid down regulations and procedures;
Specifications/Requirements for Appointment;
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines; Supply Chain Management, Economics, Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, Business Administration, Logistics or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
- Diploma in Supplies Management or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
- Proficiency in Computer applications
