This role is ideal for an articulate, analytical and enthusiastic finance professional with entrepreneurial spirit who enjoys working in an international and fast-paced company. As a Business Controller you will play a key role in Translations and Content Agency at Booking.com. You will drive growth by acting as a financial steward, providing analytical insights to key people and key financial and operational performance metrics.
In this position, based in Amsterdam – Global HQ of Booking, you are considered a business partner to the management team of the department. You will be leading annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring compliance with internal and external accounting requirements, liaising with wide range of finance stakeholders such as Global and Regional FP&A teams, Accounting, Procurement and IT Finance. By combining financial literacy and commercial attitude you can have an impact on performance of the department as well as new business growth opportunities through development of business case scenarios. In this role you are part of a dynamic and fast-paced Operational Excellence team. Due to the rapid and continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role will evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and challenge yourself to take on additional projects and responsibilities as they present themselves.
B.Responsible
- Lead quarterly and annual budgeting process in the department
- Administer the submission of annual business plans, budgets and forecasts globally, for the entire department
- Produce timely and accurate business plans, monthly reports, forecasts, budgets and actuals
- Liaise with Global FP&A team to ensure high accuracy of forecasting and compliance with global requirements
- Coordinate quarterly and annual FTE planning process
- Provide pertinent information/reports for use by all levels of management
- Assist with preparing financial models to support building business case scenarios and decision making
- Ensure accounting accuracy and compliance with external and internal requirements
- Take actions to realize a continuous improvement of controlling process
B.Skilled
- 3+ year’s relevant experience in a similar function
- Knowledge of accounting concepts and experience in financial planning
- Commercial attitude
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and in a flexible environment
- Ability to work within a fast paced environment
- Financial modeling and analytical skills
- Organized, proactive and results oriented
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
