Our client, a medium sized Sacco with its Head Office in Nairobi urgently wishes to recruit suitably qualified and experienced individual in the following position:

Responsible for the Internal Auditor Officer Job:
- Coordination of the operations of the Internal Audit department;
- Influencing, creating and improving internal controls throughout the Society;
- Assessing the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information and compliance with set policies;
- Preparation, implementation and supervision of all audit programmes;
- Reviewing all reports submitted by various sections to confirm the accuracy and correctness of figures included therein;
- Ensuring maintenance of high audit standards of performance in the department;
- Conducting special investigations as may be required from time to time;
- Preparation, implementation and supervision of all audit programmes;
- Reviewing all reports submitted by various sections to confirm the accuracy and correctness of figures included therein;
- Undertaking a variety of audit assignments relating to pre-audit of payments, evaluation and review of internal control systems;
- Ensuring that audit trails are in place and thus all entries have supporting documents;
- Ensuring adherence to all financial accounting policies and procedures;
- Monitoring and constantly reviewing audit programmes for all the sections in the SACCO; and
- Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Internal Auditor Officer Job Qualifications
Appointment to the position will be made from person who:
- Are holders of Bachelor of Commerce Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university and are CPA finalist or its equivalent;
- Have served in the position of Internal Auditor or a comparable position with similar responsibilities in like organizations for at least three (3) years; and
- Have demonstrated merit and ability in auditing.
