YCI is recruiting for a Partnerships Manager in the Middle East and Africa. YCI is the International Tourism Partnership’s flagship employability programme, helping the world’s leading hotel companies to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Around the world, youth unemployment remains stubbornly high. At the same time, the hotel industry needs enthusiastic new recruits. YCI is the hotel industry’s global solution to youth unemployment.
YCI works in partnership with the world’s leading hotel companies such as Four Seasons, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Radisson Hotel Group and Marriott; together with international non-profit organisations including SOS Children’s Villages, World Vision and Plan International.
The programme combines hands-on experience in a variety of hotel departments with classroom training, giving disadvantaged young people the opportunity to spend up to to six months learning key skills, building their confidence, and taking the first step in their career.
We’re looking for a new Partnerships Manager – working under contract – to help build YCI in the Middle East and Africa. Ideally you’ll be based in Cairo, Egypt or Nairobi, Kenya.
YCI is growing and wants to establish programmes in new locations around the world whilst simultaneously scaling up existing programmes. This role will help us achieve this by:
● Establishing YCI programmes in new locations across the Middle East and Africa region.
● Supporting and enabling the growth of YCI in existing locations.
● Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all partners at local and regional level to facilitate the effective delivery of YCI in locations across the region.
You’ll achieve this by brokering strong and effective partnerships between YCI’s hotel and non-profit partners to enable programmes to become self-sustaining.
