The County Government of Bomet through the Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions: –
Value Addition Officer – J/G CPSB 07 (1 Post)
Responsibilities
Reporting to Assistant Director/ Marketing & Value addition, the officer will be responsible for:-
- Participating in the implementation of value addition strategies and policies.
- Implementation of value addition systems and structures in the County.
- Participating in developing annual work plan and budget for the directorate.
- Ensuring quality assurance for value addition programs and projects.
- Supporting and guiding stakeholder value addition development initiatives.
- Cooperating with partners and other providers within the county and beyond to enable access to value chain/addition activities.
- Capacity build groups and societies to support the development of Value addition component and Support the up -scaling of sustainable post-harvest technologies and off farm processing techniques.
- Prepare quarterly, semiannual and annual reports.
- Any other function assigned.
Requirements
- Be a holder of bachelor’s degree in Processing Engineering, Food Science Technology, or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum five (5) years relevant experience.
