Matibabu Foundation College of Health Sciences is an initiative of Matibabu Foundation in partnership with local and international health stakeholders to promote quality healthcare in Kenya.
Reports to: Nursing Officer In-charge
Duties and Responsibilities
- Completing patient assessments
- Providing the patient with education about the surgery and their recovery
- Preparing the proper dose of anesthetic to meet the patient’s needs
- Administering medication through a variety of methods
- Monitoring the patient’s vitals and anesthesia dose during surgery
- Making changes as needed to anesthesia levels during the procedure
- Overseeing the patient’s safety during anesthesia recovery
- Working to other medical staff to develop pain management programs
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Proven experience of not less than one (1) year
- Registration Certificate by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Valid practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Retention in the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board register.
- Evidence in knowledge and proficiency in computer applications.
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
