The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) is a family of Christian communions and organisations in fellowship and witness. It was established in June 1913 during the United Missionary Conference held at Thogoto, near Nairobi. The delegates in the conference, representing the missionary institutions working in the country at the time, affirmed their wish to work towards a united church that would impact the lives of the people. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The position is responsible for ensuring effective and enhanced presence of the Council on Social Media Platforms.
Duties And Responsibilities
Social Media Engagement
- Assist in the development and implementation of social media engagement strategy for the Council.
- Administer the Council social media platforms
- Develop engaging and informative content for social media platforms in line with the Council Communication and Branding Policies
- Initiate, drive and monitoring social media campaigns as guided by the management.
- Support the management of the Council’s image and video repositories.
- Engage social media users on the Council’s platforms in a manner to project the Council’s identity and heritage, ensuring timely responses to queries.
- Maintain an accurate and up to date database of social media audiences.
- Prepare and present to the supervisor weekly social media engagement reports.
- Attend Council events and generate social media content as required.
- Monitor best practices and emerging trends in social media and make recommendations for adjustment of the Council’s social media strategy as necessary.
- Research and generate content for the Council website and social media platforms.
- Train, coach and mentor staff on social media communications.
Perform and any other duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time

Level of Education/Academic Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in communication or related field

Relevant Job Experience
Must have experience in writing and driving social media marketing/campaigns
