We are currently recruiting in Kenya for our client a Multinational FMCG company,
Finance Controller Job Responsibilities
- Managing the implementation of the finance strategy for the areas in scope
- Ensuring preparation of the SOPs for approval and monitoring adherence, reviews and updating of the same
- Managing day to day accounting and financial transactions
- Finalization of Payroll in line with policies and processes to achieve cycle requirements
- Regular monitoring and Cash and Banking transactions
- Consolidate monthly closing of books and submit financial statements with the required analysis for approval
- Ensure quarterly summaries, closing of books and submit financial statements in line with schedules
- Responsible for costing & Margin reports.
- Managing and monitoring annual statutory audit and finalize financial statements with Auditors
- Responsible for K.R.A Audit including other statutory requirements as advised
- Timely delivery of accurate Management reports
- Liaising with banks for funds and facilities & manage day to day banking needs
- Monitors Exchange rates and maintain balance of currencies required in budget.
- Liaising with suppliers for inventory payments, Debit notes/Credit notes
- Liaising with Sales, Procurement, & Imports (Supply chain) department or stock requirement And follow-up the due process in place
- Ensure on time collection from customers
- Monitors Imports /Purchases and Authorize payments
- Prepare and monitor Cash Flow
- Consolidate different department’s proposed annual budget & seek approval
- Monitor budget with actuals and report on variance
- ensure operational and staff cost are within the target budget
Qualifications for the Finance Controller Job
- University degree in Financial Management or Accounting ,Certified public accountant with CPA K or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants II (ACCA)
