Job Summary
The purpose of this job is to provide effective and efficient day to day administrative support to the Mall Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administrative functions; providing secretarial support services; receive incoming calls, visitors, correspondence and reports.
- Maintain the Managers calendar/diary and schedule of appointments to ensure that appointments do not overlap.
Maintain an up to date, effective and accessible filing system for all the electronic and hard copy documents in the department to facilitate records retrieval. - Maintain efficient and effective communication channels between the manager and any other stakeholders by being the initial point of contact to the Mall Management offices.
- Maintain an inventory of office equipment and supplies, monitor utilization of consumables and requisition for additional supplies.
- Any other duties that may be allocated from time to time.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree in a related field
- At least 3 years’ experience with a proven positive track record in marketing of a retail mall within or region similar to Kenya.
Competence Requirements

Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for the overall management of a commercial mall within Langata Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and implement promotional initiatives to attract and retain tenants and visitors to the mall through innovative ideas and marketing initiatives
- Timely billing and collection of rent, legal fees, and service charge as well as implement eviction proceedings if necessary.
- Enforcement of terms and conditions of rental agreements
- Receive, record and resolve tenancy related complaints
- Supervision, monitoring and evaluation of service provision and providers such as garbage collection, sanitation, cleaning, and security within the Property.
- Service charge audit coordination and apportionment.
- Preparation of reports on rental and service charge collection and service providers’ as will be required.
- Ensuring prompt settlement of utility bills and service providers invoices.
- Payment of land rent and land rates.
- Preparation of annual operations and marketing budgets and adherence to the same.
- Facilitate property inspection on a monthly/quarterly basis as required.
- Maintain all property marketing related records as may be required to enable decision making and statistics specific to the mall and its environ. E.g. foot fall etc.
- Preparation of a marketing plan and reporting on the implementation of the same as well as other marketing initiatives as required.
- Ensure and supervise safety and regular maintenance and repair of the mall and the amenities within the mall through regular safety inspections.
- Ensure regular servicing of all equipment within the mall by service providers to ensure all is in working order and records are maintained.
- Identify opportunities for mall to maximize revenue to the landlord through innovative ideas and marketing initiatives
- Ensure the mall facilities and services are free from risk and are legally compliant
- Any other duties that may be allocated from time to time.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree in a related field Member of a professional body in the relevant field will be an added advantage
- At least 5 years’ experience with a proven positive track record in marketing and management of a retail mall within or region similar to Kenya.
Competence Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of the Kenyan retail mall industry, the prevailing market conditions and the legal framework around it.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills necessary for interaction with stakeholders
- Proven ability to delicately solve sensitive matters.
