STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area. University degree in Computer Science or engineering or other relevant field is highly desirable.
  • 1 or more years of total experience in object oriented design, development, testing and deployment of critical business applications, in a web/client-server environment.
  • 1 or more years of experience in gathering business requirements, business process mapping and defining functional specifications and business rules.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

The position is found in the Country Office (COs), Regional Bureaux (RBs), and Headquarters (HQ).Supervised by the Head of Business Transformation and the senior lead developer, the incumbent will be part of the IT Solutions team.

JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will work with requesting units and end users to map business processes, identify key functionality and stakeholders, develop rapid prototypes and create requirements documentation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Responsibilities

  • Engage with other units in the office to obtain requirements for projects.
  • Track progress of projects for the IT Solutions team.
  • Create business process maps as part of requirements gathering activities.
  • Provide support for existing applications
  • Provide support for Microsoft Office 365 application

Activities and Deliverables

  • Participate in IT Solutions meetings;
  • Schedule and meet regularly with Kenya Country Office units to update on projects and formulate plans.
  • Configure Office 365 components to produce solutions for requesting units;
  • Gather business requirements and translate into use cases.
  • Create requirements documentation, project plans and business plans.
  • Create change requests for existing applications.
