Bomet County Job Vacancy : Compliance Officer

The County Government of Bomet through the Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions: –

Training and Compliance Officer – J/G CPSB 07/08 (1 Post)

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Officer in charge, he or she will be responsible for: –

  • Ensuring compliance on the policies and procedures that governs the registration and operations of cooperatives and microfinance groups.
  • Coordinating the trainings on cooperative management and microfinance, and supervise the implementation of the county government’s strategic plans through driving performance of teams in all the service outlets.
  • Supervising, monitoring and evaluating the performance of the cooperatives, microfinance and marketing activities.
  • Providing technical advice in the planning and design of marketing of all products on offer/produce in line with wishes of cooperatives and market needs identified.
  • Mentoring, training and supporting staff serving in the wards.
  • Providing and coordinating training for the cooperative’s board and management on areas related to governance, cooperative by – laws, leadership and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cooperatives or Business-related degree
  • Knowledge of financial and business analysis
  • CPA Section III and above
  • Minimum five (5) years relevant experience
  • Compliant with the SASRA regulations.
