Liberis Limited is a dynamic and fast-growing Non-Deposit Taking Microfinance Company based in Mombasa but with a vision to expand to other towns in Kenya. The company specializes in providing flexible and customized financial services to individuals in private and public sectors with an aim of empowering them to financial freedom through provision of quick and fast loans.
Our target clientele includes Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Salaried employees. We provide both unsecured and secured loan in a flexible, efficient and professional manner.
We are currently expanding our operations and are therefore looking to have competent highly motivated, energetic, and aggressive individuals to join our marketing and collections team as Business Development Officers in Mombasa.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, The Business Development Officers through teamwork will be responsible for managing business development and management of a loan portfolio. The role entails gaining new clients as well as maintaining existing ones, development of new loans, prompts payment of loans, design and implement control measures and monitoring plans for compliance and operation risk management.
Responsibilities
- Creating new business opportunities (seek new clients)
- Loan assessment, appraisals and approvals
- Maintenance and growth of a healthy credit portfolio through prudent loan administration, management and compliance with policies, procedures and best practice.
- Analyze applicant’s financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Ensure prompt loan repayments’ and recoveries.
- Following up on potential clients by giving them a reminding phone call and answering any potential questions regarding the product the clients might have, while proactively encouraging the client to use the company’s services.
- Ensuring clients’ adherence to payment schedules through pro-active follow up calls, visits and reminders.
- In case of clients overdue, identifying and implementing the most efficient debt recovery methods and techniques.
- Any other duty as may be assigned by the management.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
- Previous experience in Micro-finance and/or debt collection, Table banking, Group Lending, or Agri-business will be an added advantage.
