Liberis Limited is a dynamic and fast-growing Non-Deposit Taking Microfinance Company based in Mombasa but with a vision to expand to other towns in Kenya. The company specializes in providing flexible and customized financial services to individuals in private and public sectors with an aim of empowering them to financial freedom through provision of quick and fast loans.
Our target clientele includes Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Salaried employees. We provide both unsecured and secured loan in a flexible, efficient and professional manner.
We are currently expanding our operations and are therefore looking to have competent and qualified individuals to fill the above position in Mombasa.
Position Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, The Business Development Manager will be responsible for business growth, service delivery, risk management, compliance and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations of the branch.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and provide leadership to the branch team members, motivating them to achieve company’s targets and objectives
- Oversee and offer guidance in growing a healthy and sustainable loan book.
- Offer necessary support to ensure that PAR is managed as per the corporate target.
- Ensure Interest and other incomes are free of leakages and wastage.
- Have that internal customer focus on creating awareness, attraction and retention.
- Liaison person with third party service providers/customers that facilitate loan appraisal, processing, perfection and debt collection.
- Enhance TAT and uptime is observed in line with customer service charter.
- Observe that all the terms and conditions on loan requests are fulfilled prior to loan sanctioning.
- Ensure that workflow on credit administration is perfected and in line with the manuals.
- Credit documents custodian.
- Growing and managing a quality loan portfolio.
- Preparation and implementation of annual branch budgets and business development plans.
- Achievement of branch profitability and cost control objectives
- Promotion & marketing of the company’s products and services
- Supervision, appraisal, coaching, motivation and development of all branch staff and recommending appropriate training needs.
- Planning and overseeing new sales and marketing initiatives.
- Enforce implementation of laid down policies and procedures for branch operations and enhancing team spirit and administering staff discipline.
- Preparation and presentation of comprehensive, timely & reliable reports to provide information, aid in decision making and gauge performance of both the officer and the branch
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in a business-related course.
- Post graduate Diploma in Microfinance, Credit Management or Certified Credit Professional and added advantage.
- At least three (2) years’ experience as a branch/unit manager in credit function of a financial institution handling Micro and SME clients.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, outlook and other office applications
