Mathenge Technical Training Institute is a national public tertiary institution under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. It operates under the Education Act Cap 211 Laws of Kenya. The Institute’s operations are also carried out in accordance with the Government policies and procedures as spelt out in official documents and circulars. It operates under the management of a Board of Governors (BOG) appointed by the Minister in charge of Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MoHEST). The Principal is the institute’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the secretary to the BOG.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate housekeeping activities in the Institute
- Controlling housekeeping inventories
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the Institute
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to
- Supervision of the housekeeping support staff
Person specification
- Holder of Craft Certificate in Institutional Management OR Craft certificate in Catering and Accommodation OR Craft Certificate in Housekeeping
- A Diploma in any of the above will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in Computer application
- Strong human relations and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, prepare and present reports
