Mathenge Technical Training Institute is a national public tertiary institution under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. It operates under the Education Act Cap 211 Laws of Kenya. The Institute’s operations are also carried out in accordance with the Government policies and procedures as spelt out in official documents and circulars. It operates under the management of a Board of Governors (BOG) appointed by the Minister in charge of Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MoHEST). The Principal is the institute’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the secretary to the BOG.

Key Responsibilities
- Organize for practical lessons in the plumbing workshop
- Manage inventory in the workshop
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in the workshop
- Ensure safety standards are adhered to in the workshop
Person specification
- Holder of Craft Certificate in Plumbing from a reputable institution. A Diploma in Water Technology, in addition to Craft Certificate in Plumbing, will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in Computer application
- Strong human relations and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, prepare and present reports
