This will be the entry grade for officers in this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- preparing the Institute newsletters, media features and supplements;
- scanning through the print and electronic media to extract information touching on the Institute;
- creating awareness to the public on the Institute activities, services and products; and
- implementing customer service charter.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with mean grade C (Plain) or equivalent; and
- Diploma in Journalism/mass communication/graphic designers from a recognized institution; OR Diploma in Public Relations in the relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Satisfactorily served as Corporate Communications Assistant I/ Media Technician II or equivalent position for a minimum period of three (3) years.
