Oversee the design and delivery of high quality imaging in line with the target audience of Mavuno Church. The position holder must have a genuine passion for the work and be able to translate ideas and concepts into creative visuals for print and online purposes.
Responsibilities
- Offer expert advice for proper marketing and design choices
- Receive projects with design direction and complete them on time and with high attention to detail.
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Schedule projects and define budget constraints
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
- Work with other team members to produce final design
- Test graphics across various media
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing
Qualifications
- 3 years minimum proven experience in graphic design
- Ability to work quickly to meet strict deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts or relevant qualification in related field
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Background in After Effects, Premiere and photography a plus – added advantage
- Basic understanding of WordPress or other web management software – added advantage
