The Position
Lori is seeking a hands-on QA Test Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a QA Test Engineer, you will be expected to design and implement QA processes and infrastructure from scratch; develop test data and use it to perform test data analysis and prepare relevant test result reports, among other tasks.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement QA processes and infrastructure from scratch
- Develop and maintain smoke, sanity, regression, acceptance, API, loading, and database integration and infrastructures tests
- Write scripts to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code
- Perform regression testing before bi weekly software pushes
- Perform verification testing of fixed defects
- Develop test data, perform test data analysis and prepare reports of test results internally, using JIRA, along with easy-to-understand bug reporting.
- Navigate codebase, identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, including end to end test automation for enterprise, web and mobile apps
- Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, automating repetitive tasks and debugging
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium
- Experience with Unix/Linux and Software scripting languages, particularly Python
- Knowledge of containers (Docker), container orchestration systems eg. Kubernetes, and AWS cloud computing
- Strong knowledge of continuous integration and delivery systems (CI/CD)
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with XML and JSON to model test data
- Basic coding experience in JS and Python
- Worked in a startup environment where you’ve had to create or streamline QA processes
