Sustainability and External Relations at Eni Kenya

We are currently recruiting a Sustainability and External Relations for Eni Kenya based on Nairobi. The main duties of the role will be to manage all the relationships between Eni Kenya and the Government and surrounding communities.

 

The Key responsibilities are:
  • To build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the operational areas including (but not limited to) regulators, local authorities, NGOs/CSOs, religious institutions and cultural bodies.
  • To manage Joint Venture partner relations in country.
  • To maintain a close working relationship with all stakeholders including the operations/asset organization.
  • To deliver all aspects of a project through direct reports.
  • Government liaison with various arms of the government as necessary in the course of operation including but not limited to negotiation, approvals, permitting, and business development
  • To represent Eni Kenya B.V at key engagements, which require social input / knowledge (i.e. NGO engagement) as required.
  • To develop and manage relations with industry peers, diplomatic missions and other such entities.
  • To support other company initiatives (environmental awareness, communications campaigns, local content) which contribute to social relations as requested.
  • To develop, manage and execute a long-term community consultation and disclosure program and oversee the development of a robust social investment program.
  • To execute general management tasks.
  • To engage and manage specialist consultants as required.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Employment Contract:
  • Residential/ Temporary (We are unable to offer visa support for this role)

 

Skills:
  • Broad understanding of the technical issues of exploration and production activities.
  • Broad understanding of the health, safety and environmental issues of exploration and production activities
  • Team worker and self – motivator.
  • Good personal, diplomatic, supervisory, written and presentational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

 

Other Requirements:
  • Accredited Degree in the field of Social Sciences, understanding of International Relations is a distinct advantage.
  • Significant experience in the oil and gas sector within production / drilling projects or operations.
