As the Global Compensation Practice Lead, you are accountable for setting the strategic direction for the compensation practice area globally within Roche, building a strong network of experts for Compensation and ensuring constant knowledge transfer and exchange of best practices and learnings. You will also build and maintain links to external thought leaders, stay abreast of trends, and evaluate their business impact on Roche. In liaison with the Regional Practice Leads, you will ensure skill building in and beyond your community for Compensation.
The Compensation Practice Area covers the following areas of expertise:
- Governance of Compensation spine elements
- Development of Compensation processes, policies and programs
- Strategic vendor management
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the chapter including contributing to the vision, strategy, planning, budgeting, governance and organization design
- Act as Architect / Spine reviewer on practice related topics
- Drive the OneRoche mindset within the practice
- Accountable for and foster capability development for the practice
- Catalyze action through the formation of squad teams to deliver on prioritized work
- Monitor and drive completion of work in the practice area for all regions / globally
- Ensure adherence to governance and delegations of authority
- Drive harmonization of processes and practices
- Define quality standards, service level agreements and KPIs for the practice
- Provide content requirements, guidelines and support, as applicable, to the People Support Solutions chapter
- Participate in the staffing, coaching, developing of chapter employees, and ensures availability of capabilities according to demand
Who are you?
You will have 10+ years of experience in Rewards and Recognition gained within a complex, multicultural and highly matrix global environments. You bring significant experience leading within a networked organization, living a Creative Leadership mindset and VACC roles (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach). In addition, you will bring the following skills and experiences:
- Effectively demonstrating the Roche People & Culture Capabilities: Partnering Strategically, Embracing Agility, Driving Change, Generating People Insights
- Experience in driving agile transformations, successfully working in ambiguity to create and shape something new and impactful
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop and communicate strategies

- Breadth of experience across different businesses and geographic environments
Further Requirements and Information:
- Ability to travel, estimated at 4 times per year
- This job can be performed out of any of our Roche locations globally
